WHAT IS THE ILLINOIS AGILITY RUN?
The Illinois Agility Run is a fitness test used to test an individuals running agility by using just cones and a stopwatch. Although used often to test agility, it normally isn't reliable and can sometimes test wrong results. The cones are set up in this kind of a pattern:
There are many advantages and disadvantages about utilizing the Illinois Agility Run. The choice of footwear and the surface of the test can ultimately produce inaccurate results, while you only need cones and a stopwatch and it can test the turning ability of a participant as well. This test is very important for sports such as American Football, AFL, rugby and athletics.
PROCEDURE OF THE ILLINOIS AGILITY RUN:
The test starts with the applicant laying on their stomach (head on the start line), hands by their shoulders, arms flat on the ground and both legs extended behind the line. On the 'start' command, the applicant gets to their feet as quickly as possible and sprints to the top of the course and touches the line with one foot before returning to the first cone located at the bottom end of the course.
There is a starting cone, 9.14m away from another cone in which you need to sprint to, then you need to sprint around it and to the next cone diagonal from it. When you reach that cone you go around it and snake past the 4 cones then go around the last snake cone 9.14m away and do the snake again. When you finish you sprint to a cone diagonal from your position, again going around it. Then it is a final sprint towards home!

The mean or average of the Illinois Agility Run in 7.1 was 19.4, almost a whole second slower than my time of 18.81.
The mode or most popular score achieved twice was 19.11 by Sebastian and Jacob M. All other results were only achieved once.
The median or the middle value was 19.27 achieved by Joey.
